Myotherapy Nunawading

Clinical Myotherapy Nunawading

The assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions. Identifying what is driving your pain, treating it properly, and building the capacity to prevent it coming back.

What is Myotherapy?

Overview

Myotherapy focuses on understanding the underlying cause of pain and dysfunction rather than treating symptoms in isolation. It combines clinical assessment, hands-on manual therapy and structured exercise to restore movement and return you to the activities that matter.

At Paramount Movement, manual therapy and strength-based rehabilitation are used together. Getting out of pain is only half the job. Building the capacity to stay there is the other half.

Process

How it Works

Step 1

Assessment

Every initial consultation starts with a thorough assessment. Movement screening, orthopaedic testing and a detailed patient history establish a clear diagnosis and guide the treatment plan. You leave the first session knowing what is causing your pain and what the plan is to address it.

Step 2

Treatment

Manual therapy is used from session one to reduce pain and restore movement. Techniques are selected based on assessment findings and your presentation, not a fixed protocol.

Step 3

Exercise and Strength

Progressive exercise and strength-based rehab are built into the plan from early in the process. The goal is to build load capacity and resilience so your body can handle the demands of work, training and everyday life.

Step 4

Education and Planning

Understanding your injury puts you in control of your recovery. Every patient receives a clear explanation of their condition, what is driving it, along with what needs to happen to resolve it.

Techniques

Modalities

Depending on your presentation, treatment may include a combination of the following. Selection is based on clinical assessment findings, not a standard protocol.

  • Soft tissue therapy and remedial massage

  • Dry needling

  • Trigger point therapy

  • Myofascial release

  • Joint mobilisation

  • Active release techniques (ART)

  • Stretching and mobility work
